I am a big believer in the power of the spoken word. This is one of the reasons I have not only books, but many audios available of messages that I have ministered on. Romans 10:17 declares that ‘Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” God has chosen the foolishness of preaching to be the vehicle to deliver His messages. He is a believer in books as well, but it is interesting to note that Jesus never wrote one book, but He did say that ‘ the words THAT I SPEAK are spirit and life. ‘ (John 6:63)

So yes, I am a big believer in the potential of the Holy Spirit using the spoken word to transmit spiritual life, and so I will continue to use this particular vehicle for His words. 🙂

Recently however, as I was going through the content I am about to release in the Spirit Life Training school regarding the memory- and there was another reminder of how important it is to actively engage multiple physical senses to encode information into the memory. Research has shown that the more senses that can be experienced in a lesson, the more likely it is to be remembered and easily recalled. I thought about how much audio content I consumed in my life, as I was driving, traveling, working, exercising… and how much it has shaped my life. I will forever thank God for whoever created the walkman and car cassette player (Ha- I know how that sounds these days), because I devoured so much of the preached Word of God using these tools.

In context of my training the memory, I can even connect places, thoughts, scriptures, experiences, because of how engaged I was to what I was hearing at the same time I was doing something physical, (travel, exercise, work etc). Both the message and the place (and activity), became reinforcing cues to bring each to remembrance. When I remember the place or activity, I remember the message. When I remember the message, I remember the place that I heard and meditated on that message there.

Listening to the Word in the midst of everyday life, is a powerful catalyst to saturating and transforming your everyday life with that Word!

Faith comes by Hearing……

This really convicted me that I needed to get this audio project done. The SLT school is so awesome, and I have been getting amazing reports from those who are going through it. However, it is meant to be a platform to take peoples training to the next level, and it is important to have the foundation of the content in the book built into your life first. Reading and going through the study guide in the book is very important, but I understand how busy people are. So I decided to invest time and effort in this project, and the result is almost 6 hours of audio (!) brought to life with as much passion and spirit as I was able to put into it. I understand the importance of projecting your spirit in your voice when you speak, (not many people do unfortunately), and so this was not a project I could simply delegate to any professional voiceover artist. New Spirit Life Training Online Community School program

It ‘s finally open.
I am pleased to announce thatI have finally opened something I have been working on for the past year- a “Spirit Life Training School” program course! This is a a video/community based curriculum and environment where people can be challenged step by step and day by day to see their lives transformed with the training contained in Spirit Life Training. People have been asking for this, and waiting for it, and I finally have gotten to the point where I can open it up so people can start the training.

In all, there will be 10 weeks- a full 70 days of training (to start!). But because I am committed to making this a quality training, I am releasing it in 3 parts. The first part will be 3 weeks, the second part will be another 3 weeks and the last part will be 4 weeks.

I know that this will change people’ s lives. Bodies will be healed, Minds will be ignited with the life of the Spirit. New giftings of God will expose themselves. Temptations will be broken off. A new sense of purpose and clarity in God will arise. And so much more!

Even though ‘we walk by faith, and not by sight,’ this doesn ‘t mean that we are completely blind. In fact, the opposite is true. We are able to see clearer than we ever have. We MUST SEE BETTER than we ever have! Jesus came to make the blind SEE- and the greatest sight for a believer to have, is the ability to see past the surface. There are gifts and abilities that God has put inside people, and we must develop the skill of being able to pull those necessary gifts out of the people around us.

Before this can happen, there must come a sort of spiritual crisis- where a demand is made in the realm of the spirit for a supply of the Spirit of God to be manifested. God has given us what we need, but a sense of ‘ spiritual hunger ‘ is required to create a focus and a faith to draw it out of us and those around us. Philippians 1:19 says that there is a supply of the Spirit available for each of us, but we do have to learn how to draw on it.

God in His Wisdom has resourced us with hidden treasures around us. These treasures are ‘ seeds ‘ of spiritual gifts, that will flourish and produce much fruit in the right environment. How to Strengthen Yourself in the Lord

There are times in everyone ‘s life when you are going to need to know how to pull up the strength of God and resource yourself with the wellspring of life that God has made available to us.

It is wonderful to have people around us that encourage us. That hold up our arms in the battles of life. That put a sword in our hands and a smile on our faces. God always sends people our way, whether to us, or by us, that have strength for us. We are so thankful for this when this happens. This helps train us to do the same for others. Every joint in the Body of Christ is to supply life to the other parts.
